Founder Vicki Draper has long been a gin enthusiast, with a love not just for the taste, but for the stories behind it.

Inspired by how local landscapes shape spirits around the world, she set out to create something similar for her own community. As someone born and raised in Bracknell, she wanted to craft a gin that people across the area could recognise, connect with and feel proud of.

Braccan Dry Gin brings that vision to life, with a recipe rooted in its surroundings and a label that celebrates Berkshire’s identity.

A flavour with a story

One of Braccan’s key botanicals is stinging nettles, hand-foraged by Vicki herself. It’s a bold choice, but one that gives the gin its unique character – a fresh, slightly nutty flavour that sets it apart.

The local focus runs through every detail, from the ingredients to the branding. Even the label features a Berkshire stag and a well-known local landmark, tying the drink back to its roots.

It’s this strong sense of place that gives the gin its personality – and its appeal.

Starting a spirits brand comes with its challenges, from navigating regulations to bringing a product to market. But for Vicki, it was about taking that first step and learning along the way.

That leap of faith has paid off. Seeing customers respond to the gin – and receiving her first five-star review – was a real turning point.
